YATES CONSTRUCTION – THE TOWER RESIDENCES AT STONELEIGH The Big Comeback or more than three years, the partially completed Residences at the Stoneleigh tower in uptown Dallas served as a visual reminder of the housing market bust. The first 10 floors of the 22-story building’s structure were the only ones completed when the building’s owners stopped work in 2008, the beginning of the recession. In 2012, the top 12 floors of the condominium tower finally started to become a reality thanks to general contractor W.G. Yates Construction. W.G. Yates Construction $30 million tower, located adjacent to and intended to be a companion of Dallas’ historic Stoneleigh Hotel. Developer Mehrdad Moayedi bought the unfinished building out of bankruptcy for $4.5 million in 2011 and received financing to finish the construction. Moayedi’s development firm Centurion American Group owns the building and, through its affiliate Crescent Estates, is helping to build out the interiors of the tower’s 75 condominium units. Homebuilder Sharif-Munir Custom Homes is also building unit interiors.
