The volcano slide will be used as part of in-bar entertainment, Imbert notes. A tiki bar located outside of the facility within a tiki hut will connect to an adjacent boardwalk through a system of gangplanks. The Margaritaville restaurant will feature a number of themed elements including palm trees, pelicans and fish, as well as a replica of one of Buffett’s airplanes hanging from the ceiling. A replica of the singer’s Jaguar, which sits on top of a themed bridge, will also adorn the eating area, Imbert adds. Meeting a fast-track schedule and coordinating the facility’s many elements – including an extensive audio-visual and sound system – required extensive coordination among the contractor, designers and subcontractors.
