The company recently received the 2011 Design Build Institute of America Design Build Honor Award for Commercial Office Buildings under $10 million for its work on the 97th Military Police Battalion Headquarters at Fort Riley. Members of the 97th Military Police Battalion returned homed from deployment service in Afghanistan to a state-of-the-art command, control and administrative facility that encompasses approximately 16,000 square feet. Construction began in June 2009 and was completed two months ahead of schedule in August 2010, Karimi says. “One of the prime reasons why the design/build team was able to complete the project two full months in advance was due to adopting a fasttrack approach to the project,” he says.
