Howard County, Md.
This development was the first time
Bozzuto used advanced geothermal systems as a standard feature on every home.
It was the first community on the East
Coast developed by a production builder
to incorporate geothermal systems.
Every Sage at Maple Lawn home came
with a high-efficiency Bosch geothermal
system, said to be the most earth-friendly
and economical heating and cooling technology in the world.
The advanced heating and cooling
system is just one part of the incredible energy efficiency offered. The homes received
a Home Energy Rating System score of 21
from the Residential Energy Services Network after the company completed the installation of solar panels and features such
as tank-less water heaters and electronic
vehicle plug-in stations. Measured on a
scale from 0 to 100, the scores are universally used by builders to score new homes
on their energy efficiency. The lower the
score the better.
